American fest screens Iran animation

Iranian Animation ‘Light Sight’ has been scheduled to be screened at the 5th edition of Trenton Film Festival (TFS) in the US.

Directed by Moslem Tabatabaee, ‘Light sight’ is to represent Iran at the 2018 American film event.

The short animation tells the story of an imprisoned character in a room who is attracted to a hanging light and tries to catch it. But the room itself becomes an obstacle on his way.

The award-winning short animation has so far snatched prizes from different international film festivals including  Anchorage Int'l Film Festival in the US, Samava Cinema Film Festival in Iraq, International Students Creative Award in Japan, Cinemaiubit Student film Festival in Romania, La San Rafael Film Festival in Spain, Smita Patil Documentary and Short Film Festival in India, Dodowa Intarnational Film Festival in Gana, Flathead Lake International Cinemafest in the US, Cineframe International Short Film Festival in India, and Our Shorts Their Shorts Fall Screening Session in Bangladesh (all in 2017).

Trenton Film Society is a non-profit organization which brings filmmakers and film professionals together to build a better understanding of filmmaking and to explore the issues and perspectives in a variety of films –from local to international- as well as to build an appreciation of the film arts.

The 5th edition of Trenton International Film Festival is slated for March 22-25, 2018.
